The 2019 Summer Reading Program starts June 1 and runs through August 1, 2019.
This year's theme is "A Universe of Stories".
Adults (ages 18 and older)- Read and log 4 books to earn a special Reader's Luggage Tag. Keep logging books after the goal is met! Early completions (while supplies last) receive a "sweet treat" additional prize- a coupon for a mini bundt cake from "Nothing Bundt Cakes" in Shrewsbury or an ice cream cone coupon from "Four Boys Ice Cream" in Englishtown. Upon completion of the program, all Ocean Township adult sign-ups will automatically be entered in a random drawing to win a basket containing $50 worth of gift cards
Young Adults (grades 6-12)- Log for 8 hours to win (keep logging after 8 hours). May then choose from one of the following prizes: a phone ring holder, USB bracelet, or a cell phone wallet. Upon completion of the program, all Ocean Township young adult sign-ups will automatically be entered in a random drawing to win a basket containing $50 worth of gift cards
Vacation Reading Club (grade K-6)- Read for 4 hours, win a Treasure Box prize. Read for 8 hours, win a Galaxy Spy Pen. Read for 16 hours plus complete 3 activities (attend a library program, read "differently"- a book that you normally wouldn't read, watch a video from the International Space Station or other activities which will be listed on the Beanstack site), win a bonus prize of a paperback book or a "special surprise" (thank you, Friends of the Library!).
Read to Me (baby-Kindergarten)- Read 10 books for Treasure Box prize, 20 books for a Galaxy Inflatable Ball, and 40 books plus complete 3 activities (same as above) for a paperback book or a "special surprise"
