No, although they work collaboratively. The Township of Ocean Library is a branch of the Monmouth County Library system. The Friends of the Township of Ocean Library is a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting library resources and services in the Ocean Township NJ community

Anyone can join who wants to be part of a group that supports our library. Membership dues are $5.00/year/person and donations are always welcome. Members can volunteer for a variety of tasks, or can contribute through their monetary donation only.

ANYONE! All are welcome to come in and use the library, find books and reference material, use databases for research, use the computers, attend programs, or bring your laptopo or mobile device to access the free wifi. The library is a welcoming place for all to come and enjoy. If you want to borrow any materials, use databases, or watch streaming movies from home, you need a library card. Library cards are available at the Ocean Township Library and all of the Monmouth County Library branches. Library cards allow users to borrow books, ebooks and audiobooks, dvd's, cd's, and to access most of the online databases and resources remotely from home. Residents of communities who have their own libraries not partnered with the Monmouth County library system must pay a fee of $100/year to join. Any of the library staff will be happy to answer questions about obtaining a card.
