Join Lighthouse Keeper was one of the first government career occupations open to women.  Mary Rasa, historian and former park ranger and interpreter for the NPS at Sandy Hook, NJ  will look at five remarkable women keeers, including a Monmouth County resident.

 Together with the Historical Museum, the  Friends recently co-sponsored  an outdoor casual lunch to say "thank you" to the town's hardworking Department of Public Works employees.   The DPW team works for long hours in good weather and bad and they  have been invaluable to us in helping with our Friends activities as well as providing support and services to the library.

  • During September alone, 569 residents took advantage of curbside pickup, almost as much as the Headquarters library!

  • Ocean Library is averaging 160 walk-in visitors/day even with reduced in person hours

  • During the first two weeks of October, our library staff fielded over 230 calls for reference
