 Together with the Historical Museum, the  Friends recently co-sponsored  an outdoor casual lunch to say "thank you" to the town's hardworking Department of Public Works employees.   The DPW team works for long hours in good weather and bad and they  have been invaluable to us in helping with our Friends activities as well as providing support and services to the library.

Michael Jarmus as wandering wizard Gandalf the Gray,

ring-corrupted river hobbit Gollum the Green,

RACONTEUR RADIO performs theatrical presentations of vintage radio plays, classic works of literature, and pop culture parodies for audiences throughout the Tri-State area. For the foreseeable future, their live presentations will be presented virtually. The radio plays are being recorded via a video meeting platform, and then shared before a real time Q&A with Raconteur Radio

founder/artistic director Alex Dawson.

  • During September alone, 569 residents took advantage of curbside pickup, almost as much as the Headquarters library!

  • Ocean Library is averaging 160 walk-in visitors/day even with reduced in person hours

  • During the first two weeks of October, our library staff fielded over 230 calls for reference
