The Community Hope Fund (CHF) mission is to promote youth development and support charitable needs for the Township of Ocean and Surrounding Communities.
CHF is a non-profit all volunteer organization
that organizes and participates in activities
that fund and support projects such
as holiday food drives, youth development
and neighbor assistance.
Each year grants are awarded to
non profit organizations who apply
for support of programs that enrich
youth development.

Phyllis Fyfe, Friends Vice President and a member of our group for almost 60 years, was honored with a Lifetime Volunteer
Appreciation Award, in recognition of her extraordinary years of service to the
Friends of the Township of Ocean Library
and to our community.
Phyllis was also named a Literacy Champion,
in an award given by the Shrewsbury Towne Monmouth Chapter of the Daughters
of the American Revolution,
in recognition of her many years of
outstanding work in promoting literacy.

Garden Club
If you love gardens or are interested
in honing your gardening skills,
become a member of the
Township of Ocean Garden Club.
The Garden Club meets on the
2nd Monday of every month at 7:00 p.m.
at the Fireman's Field Meeting Room.
They participate in community events,
organize summer and holiday socials and visit gardens throughout the tri-state area
The Garden Club is a non-profit organization
and chapter of the Garden Club of NJ,
a state affiliate of the National Garden Clubs.

The library now has a self-service checkout station. It is located by the front desk.
With this machine you can check out books,
pick up holds (ask the at the desk for your items first), and pay bills. Payment is by credit or debit card only.
You can also print from one of the library
computers to the checkout machine, pick up your materials and pay at the machine using a credit card.
(For cash payments, patrons can
continue to use the printer located
near the public internet computers.)
